THEY’LL BE 50 STORES AND A TEN KIOSKS, AND THAT’S MOSTLY FRESH FOOD AND PREPARED FOOD WITH SOME NON-FOOD ITEMS AS WELL. SO FAR, YOU CAN FIND BOOKS, FLOWERS AND JEWELRY AND IT’S BEAUTIFUL INSIDE. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. I LOVE THE ARCHITECTURE. I LOVE THE WAY THEY KIND OF DECIDED TO MAKE IT LOOK MORE OLD. BALTIMORE ARCHITECTURE, OLD STYLE. AND, YOU KNOW, I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING IT IMPROVE. THIS IS FABULOUS. I LOVE IT. AND THIS IS MY FIRST TIME HERE SINCE SAYS REOPENING. AND I’M EXCITED TO SEE WHAT IT BRINGS. SMELLS GOOD. JANE LIM HAD A STALL IN THE OLD MARKET. SHE’S NOW OPEN IN THE NEW MARKET AND DOING A LOT OF BUSINESS. IT’S GREAT. IT’S A BRAND NEW AND THEN NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND IT’S SOMETHING WE ARE LOOKING EXCITED TO HAVE A CUSTOMER WITH 20 MERCHANTS ARE COMING OVER FROM THE OLD MARKET AND THERE WILL BE 30 NEW MERCHANTS. THE MARKET HAS INCREASED THE NUMBER OF STALLS OWNED BY AFRICAN-AMERICANS AND WOMEN. WE WANTED TO REPRESENT THE CITY. WE ALSO WANTED TO BE MORE EQUITABLE AND ALSO CONNECT MORE TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD. EACH WEEK, NEW STALLS WILL OPEN, BUT THE MARKET WON’T BE FULLY OPEN UNTIL THE SPRING OF NEXT

By spring of next year, it should be 100% full, officials said.

So far, patrons can find books, flowers and even jewelry in the market.

"I think it's beautiful inside, no doubt about it. I love the architecture and how they decided to make it look more old Baltimore architectural style and I'm looking forward to seeing it improve," said Justin Hillman, a patron.

Jane Lim had a stall in the old market. She is now open in the new market and doing a lot of business.
